I was looking for editing views over 2d Drafting but I can find if is possible showing shaded views over drafting 2d enviroment. I watching that it is possible for Solid Works and Inventor.
UG can put 2D views shaded?

Currently, UG can show an image (see documentation) on a drawing but it will only plot an outline of the image's location.

I believe this is something that is forthcoming in a later release of UG, but don't take that to the bank.

Yes, UG until NX2 doesn't support tif plotting onto a drawing. (this new function appears as unuasuable until they change the PQMGR to windows printer)

I've hear the NX3 shows shaded preview while positioning a new view.... but nothing about plotting yet.
