On-Line Arsenic Monitor for Water Stream

On-Line Arsenic Monitor for Water Stream

On-Line Arsenic Monitor for Water Stream

(OP)
I am working on a pump and treat project to remove arsenic from groundwater.  We are interested in monitoring the arsenic concentration in the treated effluent on a continuous basis using an on-line type of instrument.  The intent is to have the monitor send a notification or alarm if the arsenic concentration reaches some setpoint.

Does anyone know of any companies that produce commercially available monitors that can be used for this purpose?

RE: On-Line Arsenic Monitor for Water Stream

You might check with Hach.  They manufacturer on-line analyzers for many applications.  I do not think they currently have one for As but if there is enough demand they probalby would tool up.

Hach's web site is:  www.hach.com

RE: On-Line Arsenic Monitor for Water Stream

A friend of mine has begun the final stage of commercializing the first monitor of this kind. He is working on a contract with the the USAF to perfect it. I believe he has (or will shortly) have beta monitors ready for evaluation. The company is Brims Ness Corporation, the phone # is 207 723 7330 his name is John Merrill.
