Seperating a body into its own part

(OP)
I have a part with multiple bodies. I want to save the individual bodies as parts, and then "remake" this into an assembly. Bottom line is, I shouldv'e created them as parts, then made an assembly in the first place. Is there a way to do this?

RE: Seperating a body into its own part

Only the "hard way":

Save copies of your multi-part body and strip out the features that make the unwanted bodies.
