Layer Pull-down Menus in ACAD 2005LT

Layer Pull-down Menus in ACAD 2005LT

Guys,

I just installed autocad 2005lt on my computer, everything is running great except the layer pull-down menu. It takes forever for the pull-down menu to come down so I can freeze, thaw, or change layers etc.  Is this a RAM problem, LT bug.  I still have the old ACAD on my computer, maybe they're taking too much space on my hard drive?  Can anyone help?

RE: Layer Pull-down Menus in ACAD 2005LT

Hey, its the new layer filters autocad is bringing in when you open a drawing made by one of the "overlay" desktops. Open the regular layer dialog box and delete all the layer filters (this will take a bit and seem like the program is hung, it isn't it just takes a while). Once that is done the layer dropdown is back to normal speed.

Thanks alot, that helped alot...does this damage any of my layers that I've created on the plan or future plans?
