(OP)
I want to try and create a simple program that will open up a text document and search for a specific part of the document, then print only that specific part to a text box.

I guess i would have to use bookmarks in the text document, can any one help please.

RE: VB search and open from file

Hi, What you want to do is to open a text fila, right?, well you may visit two web sites where you may find the code. As far as i know there are a lot of pages, but these tow are quite basic. The first one is: http://www.lawebdelprogramador.com/cursos/mostrar....

The second one is:
http://vbasic.astalaweb.com/Archivos%20-%20Operaci...

I´m sorry, but these pages are in spanish, I'll keep looking for more pages in english.

I hope you can find what you are looking for.
