Latin
Latin
(OP)
Sirs, I am going to ask a question which has been bugging me for a long time. Since I have seen Latin used on this post and I could not find a Lawyer's forum, I thought I would give it a try. What is "Expo Facto Law"? I have found that it means "after the fact". This definition is incomplete. The reason I ask goes back 32 years and I was just curious. I thought that expo meant big and facto meant fact. Thanks in advance, Bob

RE: Latin
Search on the term ex post facto.

RE: Latin
"Ipso facto" translating as "By the fact itself" which occurs quite frequently in contractual verbiage.
