Chlorine Dioxide for industrial water systems

Chlorine Dioxide for industrial water systems

Chlorine Dioxide for industrial water systems

(OP)
I am looking at replacing our present Bromine dosing system with something more efficient and E friendly. UV is not suitable I'm told due to the flow rate (up to 540 m3/hr) and ClO2 has been suggested.
Questions; Will this corrode galvanised steel pipes? Will the gas escape into the factory atmosphere at normal temperatures? What water purity standard will I get with this system?

RE: Chlorine Dioxide for industrial water systems

Here is website that will give you a good start on ClO2 water treatment.  The site is in China but gives a pretty good assessment of the efficiency of ClO2.  We had no problems with corrosion of CS with the system.
