What is toc time?

What is toc time?

What is toc time?

(OP)
what is a toc time and what is the imprtance of it in selection of PLC system?
Thanks

RE: What is toc time?

TOC Time is not a phrase I have ever seen used.  Is it in MS, mS, or what?  What PLC system are you looking at that uses it?

RE: What is toc time?

When you use the phrase 'toc time' are you only interested in the time constraints?

If you described what your end goal is, or be a little more specific.  I may be able to help a little more.

RE: What is toc time?

I believe it refers to the elapsed time between 2 operating points in a program execution. TOC is a Matlab command that means essentially the same thing. I have heard it used (albeit only by propeller-heads) as a quasi-benchmarking issue for relative speed of program execution.

RE: What is toc time?

mohdalharbi is that what you are looking for?  If this is the case the importance would be dependant upon the application, sometime a PLC is too slow and a PC would be a better choice.  But generally speaking a PLC will execute its program (RLL) in under 30MS (conservitive).
