Is anybody familiar with a hydrotest corrosion inhibitor named DIOL PASS or something similar (may be a mis-spelling, just heard it by word of mouth), in particular the claim that it has low environmental impact? I'm having no luck searching the web for it.

Just check "google" and you'll find something there

Good luck

In my opinion there is no need to use any corrosion inhibitor for the short period of a hydraulic test, in most of the cases.
See the following thread for this issue: Thread338-98880
Anyway, the most common diol used as corrosion inhibitor is butyne diol, but I've never heard of using it alone.
Have a safe day.

RE: Corrosion inhibitor

In order to meet the requirements of some end user specifications, inhibitors must be used, whether one would deem it necessary or not.  The one mentioned here would include me.

Checkout the following website.  They have a lot of hydrotest inhibitors plus a tremendous amount of technical data.  They actually compare their products against others.
