API Temp Limit on H2 Valves in PD Compressors

I have been told that the API guideline on maximum temperature for PD compressor discharge valves in H2 compression service is 275 deg F.  Is this true, and what is the reason for this max temperature rating?  If it is immediately obvious to all of you, and you're wondering why I have to ask, I am just a process engineer.

I found the answer in the Process Forum from Art Montemayor.  Thanks again Art.
