Need help setting up Win2K plotting

Need help setting up Win2K plotting

(OP)
Hi,

Im new to the forum. Im trying to set up plotting on Unigraphics on Win2K. Can someone post a generic postscript plotting definition for PQMGR? Im as specially interested in how to designate a printer and the plotter switches. As a test guinea pig Im using a small HP 845c at my desk. I am a novice at Sys Admin so please be specific if you can. I have gotten UG to output to the printer but Im just getting a %!Ps-ADOBE-2.0%%Creator: UGIIPS%%EndComments....... line and not print/plot.

Thanks!!!
GG

RE: Need help setting up Win2K plotting

UG plotting can only plot to an HPGL or PS device. The 845C is a PCL device which UG doesn't support.

Ben,

Doh!!! Thank you....I wondered why I was having so much trouble. I had a Queue running previously on another printer. It must have been compatible.

I did read the previous postings in the archive. I didnt think of compatibility. Is there a resource that I can refer to in the future for compatible printers on NT with PQMGR?

Thank you again!!!

RE: Need help setting up Win2K plotting

Basically UG supports any HP device that has HPGL or PS drivers. Other plotters that emulate HPGL may work. We use Xerox printers and we print to them using PS queues.
