OPC /VB/RSLogix app question...

OPC /VB/RSLogix app question...

OPC /VB/RSLogix app question...

(OP)
I'm very new to OPC and VB.  I have a project where I am using a barcode reader to read a barcode to an RSLogix register.  I would like VB to monitor this register through RSLinx and OPC.
I would like VB to retrieve this barcode and set it in a VB text box.  The project is actually much deeper than this, but if I can accomplish this then I should have no problem finishing the rest.
My biggest question is how does the VB program reference the tags?  I have used DDE in the past and understand how DDE references items, but we need to use OPC for flexibility issues in the future.  I have set up an opc server and a group so far.  Does anyone have any sample code that might help me with this application?

RE: OPC /VB/RSLogix app question...

Rockwell software put out a VB demo that I used to learn OPC with RSLinx, but now I can't find it on their own website.  It was published under tech note A7347.
