I was wondering if any of you guys have a clue how could i find (any special reference) complete triaxial tests on Sands in order to identify basic properties about their critical state, i.e. M (inclination of CS strength line in q vs p' plot), maximum and minimum density and point of deflection of the critical state strength line in e (or v) vs lnp' plot.

RE: Triaxial test results

Do you know the books "Manual of soil laboratory testing"(3 Volumes) written by Head?

RE: Triaxial test results

Hi,

I found this link that appears to have a significant amount of data:
http://geoinfo.usc.edu/gees/velacs/

It is for sands at two Dr's and also for a silt.

If you know of any similar data for a clay, please do let me know.

It is a pity that after so many decades, we still don't seem to have "reference test data" available freely for others to use to check their models

thx
Paul

A similar post was made many months ago.  Do a search of I.Holubec or critical state sands and you can find quite a bit of information.  Search, too, here in the site for the previous similar post.

ElGreco - I see that the former post, Thread486-101975, was yours too!  Still, try to check out the references I gave.
