Pressure flow through slit

Pressure flow through slit

Pressure flow through slit

(OP)
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows the equation for air flow pressure drop through a thin 1m long slit of thickness 0.063" at a given flow rate of air?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

RE: Pressure flow through slit

depends on several factors regarding the sharpness of the flow entrance and the thickness of the sheet forming the slit. the inlet pressure (and outlet) is also useful to know.

once you've defined the slit inlet and exit geometry then you set about estimating the discharge coefficient and making a flow calcualtion.
