Exploded view collapses

Exploded view collapses

(OP)
Hi,

I have an assembly with two cfg's...one cfg has an exploded view the other not...when I switch between cfg's the exploded view collapses automatically and I have to dbl click it every time to explode...is there a way to always have the cfg remain exploded when I switch between cfgs?

Thanks in Advance,
SWCADMAN

RE: Exploded view collapses

No there isn't as far as I know.

The Exploded config is a derived config, so the parent config must be active before the child can be activated. So you can't switch to the parent config and expect it to stay exploded.

So before you ask... It works the same way in SW05.

RE: Exploded view collapses

Thanks for answering the 2005 question, I was going to ask it.  Yeah sorry SWCADMAN looks like Scott hit the nail on the head, the parent must be activated prior to exploding. As far as I remember you cannot even switch between a derrived config to an exploded one without switching to the parent config first, even though both are derrived from the same parent.
