For those in shear, the more important specification is clearly stating if threads must be excluded or need not from the shear surface, and enforcing it in the field.

I would assume that you still want to torque
to 70 percent of yield. I have an excell
spread sheet made from data from a Lamson
and Sessions Chart. Free for the asking.
