ALMAG 35

ALMAG 35

ALMAG 35

(OP)
We are trying out castings in ALMAG 35.But the trials are posing difficulties in 1.Metal flow getting choked up and 2.Heavy drossing.
The gating design has been changed to 1.1:1:1.2 with the runner as a choke and we have used Ceramic filter 75x75x13 on two sides of the runner. We have already tried 3 gating changes and what I have described is the third change.
Also we are unable to get the Beryllium added to the alloy as the alloy supplier is not adding this due to environmental reasons.
We would like to use this alloy in place of AlMg3Si as per old DIN1725 also for our supplies.

Can anyone share their experience on this alloy with respect to these two difficulties?
