Assembly Design

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't there used to be a function within the Assembly design sectioning tool, that allowed you to save the resulting 2D cut. I think it was there around R10, we are now using R12 sp6, and I can't find it anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

RE: Assembly Design

Hi phodge,

we're using R12 SP3 but I think it's the same in SP6.
In the sectioning definition choose "Result". There you find an "Export As"-Icon on the lift side.

thanks bigcheese,

What package is that associated with? When I go to the result tab there are 3 icons, 'volume cut', 'edit grid' and 'results window'. There is no icon to 'export as', although this was the icon I remeber using in previous releases.

We are running MD2 package + GSD2 add-on license.

I presume that this doesn't include the 'export as' function. Does anyone know what package contains this?

Thanks

RE: Assembly Design

It seems your CATIA looks quite different from mine 'cause my 'volume cut' is in the definition tab... maybe it's a license problem but I don't know exactly which package we use.

greetings

RE: Assembly Design

Hi phodge,

Your probably need Space Analysis License (SPA) to get those "SaveAS" tab up.

Cheers. Kennis Tang.
