Overhead Wiring Cable

Overhead Wiring Cable

Overhead Wiring Cable

(OP)
I am looking for suggestions for what cable to use for some overhead wiring for parking area lighting.  The application is for 120 volt and 277 volt, 20 amp lighting circuits, strung from wood pole to wood pole, approximately 100' to 150' apart.  Figuring voltage drop, the cables will be #10 or #8 conductors.

RE: Overhead Wiring Cable

NEC Article 321 — Messenger Supported Wiring seems to have a variety of approaches.  Conductor insulation should be suitable for wet locations and rated UV/sunlight resistant.  Article 225 also usually applies.

RE: Overhead Wiring Cable

use preassembled aerial cable , 600 volts (XHHW-2) with "Aetna Insulated and Wire Company" they have other types.
