Iam looking to fit a Spider Bearing c/w 4 support legs behind a 30" Impeller in a IR Caustic Pump.
The Pump Casing is in fact a 30" Truncated elbow Discharging directly from Impeller.
Impeller is driven via shaft which is immersed and on C/L
of elbowRequirement is to fit a Quality Cartridge Seal.

Capacity is 28000 usgpm , Disch. P[ressure, 16 ft , Suction
Presss. 23 ft. HP 300.

Can anyone advise me how to calculate the reduction in Flow
(if appreciable) should the spider be installed.

Shaft is 6 1/4 " diam - Proposed Spider Housing 9 .5 " DIA X 12 " Long. 4 legs x 1" thk.
