Baking Porex

Baking Porex

(OP)
i am looking for some information on baking porex. Currently the porex comes in rough and wavy...after baking at 279 f for 14 hours the porex becomes flat. Please note our only objective is for hard and flat porex. I doubt whether we require a 14 hour cycle time . Looking for help from those who are involved in a similar process.

RE: Baking Porex

If you just need it hard an flat try vacplate instead of the porex. It is sold in sheets.

Can anyone give me more info on VACPLATE. Does it need to be baked like porex? Is it better than porex etc.

Thanks,

RE: Baking Porex

Try Porvair Filtration Group, they also make porous plastic like Porex, trade name is Vyon. It is regularly used in vacuum pads.
