stator wire -varnish application.

(OP)
I am setting up a line for a stator (.75-1.5 hp motor). We are using magnetic wire that already has adhesive impregnated in it, activated later by baking (in an oven). My question to the forum is : Is Application of Varnish before baking necessary?
In either event with /without varnish what should be the baking cycle time .
Thank you for the answers.

RE: stator wire -varnish application.

The baking time and temperature should be oon the label of the coil or consult the manufacturer's brochure.

RE: stator wire -varnish application.

Make sure that any varnish that you apply to the coils is compatible to the adhesives already in the coils!!
In my opinion, it can do no harm to re-apply varnish before baking.Remembering that different varnishes cure at different temperatures in different lengths of time.
