CONCRETE SPECIFICATION FOR SEISMIC MASS

CONCRETE SPECIFICATION FOR SEISMIC MASS

CONCRETE SPECIFICATION FOR SEISMIC MASS

(OP)
We are designing a 4 post car shaker.
Our speciality is servohydraulic vibration systems, the customer wants us to design the mass (fairly straightforward) but they also want a specification for the concrete.
Mass is about 7m x 5,5m x 3m deep with a cavity 6m x 4m x 2m deep so weigth about 170 Tonnes
I reckon strength should be about 50N/mm^2, bu what about agregate grade etc?
Grade C40A to BS8007 Class 4 to BRE digest 363 has been suggested - but what does that actually mean ??
