Worm /insect holes in lumber - help sought

(OP)
Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good publications dealing with worm or insect holes in conventional lumber (i.e. 2x4, 2x6 studs).  I am conducting strength tests to see how they compare to lumber with no such holes.  The NLGA (National Lumber Grading Authority) approves these studs (with a limited ratio of holes).....I was suprised to actually see some of them at a local lumber yard.....these probably will challenge drywallers as it's a hit and miss till they actually can nail/screw the drywall sheets to wood and not the holes !!!

Thanks ,
