Post installing reinforcement bars

(OP)
Dear all, I am intrested to develop systems for post installing reinforcement bars.
Either dowels or larger size bars. Developement being electronic rebar detection, chemical or mechanical anchors, software, drills etc etc. Can you please share with me the problems you have encountered with post installing rebar, or what you would like to make the practice easier for the industry.
Kind Regards
Antony Centorame

RE: Post installing reinforcement bars

Go to HILTI.com and look at what they offer for their adhesive anchoring systems.

Thanks, while Hilti have current solutions, I am part of a company to invest money to develop new solutions to come out within the next 4years. So I am after ideas to develop new systems for Post Installed rebar. Ranging from design software to the final anchor installation.

centant....I think polling engineers for problematic conditions in these applications is appropriate; however, I think that asking for design ideas to further the venture of a commercial company is not appropriate....I would hope that's why they hired you.

You might get more information on the problematic conditions by talking to contractors rather than engineers.  The contractors usually cause the need for such items and then have to install them.  Engineers typically select and size the type.
