Hello Members,

I am working on CAD visualisation and collaboration and find that JT format is gaining importance in CAD industry and will be a leading neutral format in comming years.

please post your opinions and suggestions about Standard neutral format.

RE: Standard Neutral Format

Look up the UGS website.

You'll notice that more "big" firms are joining the JT standard.  I believe it will eventually become the defacto standard because UGS has a complete division set out on developing "standard" formats, and thus profit from that standard because it is theirs.  Parasolid happens to be another one.

Hello Scott,

have you latest developments from Dassualts Systems ? they have launched a new 3D XML format which might effect JT popularity. More over I am wondering about UGS own PLM XML format.. UGS have been saying abt this format for last 2 years but haven't launched it. Is it a just marketing strategy...

please let me know your opinion and let other members please put your opinions..

Thanks & Regards
Tekula
