Solid Edge Part Previewing

Solid Edge Part Previewing

Solid Edge Part Previewing

(OP)
One of my CAD users cannot preview parts or sheet metal files in the parts library when doing an assembly.  The boxes are just grey.  It doesn't say "Preview Not Available".  If I right click in the part library on the edge bar and select preview... my option to preview is selected "On".  If I change the part to "Bitmap" then I can see my part in a preview.  However I want the interactive preview to work.

The files are on a compressed network drive.  I thought that was the issue.  But when I access the files from my machine everything works like it's supposed to, so it's not the drive.  I'm suspecting this is a graphics card issue but am just guessing at this point.

RE: Solid Edge Part Previewing

Hello,

I'm pretty sure you guessed right about the graphic card. Before upgrading it though, try changing the application display in 'Tools/Options/View'. (I've seen a similar problem with the mode 'Software driven').
