Asbestos Cement Pipe Fittings

Asbestos Cement Pipe Fittings

Asbestos Cement Pipe Fittings

(OP)
Does anyone have information or links where I can find fittings (Flanges, couplings, etc.) to connect existing asbestos cement piping (ASTM C-296) with new HDPE piping?  ASTM C-296 does not specify fittings or appropriate standard for fittings.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Asbestos Cement Pipe Fittings

Also try JCM, Romac and Smith Blair.  All make mechanical fittings for use on HDPE.

Depending on the circumstances you may need to install a thrust anchor on the HDPE to prevent it from pulling out of your connection. I imagine you will probably find a repair sleeve will work well - but it is not restrained!

Good luck.
