Hi, ladies and gents,

Can you imagine fine activated carbon was found outlet RO?

We have experienced this situation now.

so what size would the carbon particle be?

Any one has similar experience with ACF upstream RO plant?

ours is a UPW plant.

Any comments on this?

thanks.

RE: Can you imagine fine activated carbon was found outlet RO???

Hi

When you say "outlet of RO plant", do you mean in the permeate ? Unless you have a major leak from feed to permeate, that won't happen.

If you mean you are getting carbon at the feed to the RO, that is not uncommon.  You need to backwash your carbon filters to ensure all the fines are removed, and check your cartridge filters to ensure they are working properly.
