Hi,
I was conducting a structural analysis for a very critical component subjected to pressure & temp, material-ductile iron. I used a solid 92-tetra element and carried out the analysis. The stress was within acceptable limits during this analysis.
But when I started to vary the temp, the stress values went way off course.
Since I cant change any other variable, Can someone suggest a better element type or variables or suggest any corrections in the analysis procedure (linear static)where I might be wrong.

Whether the physical simplifications of your structural condition in to linear static condition is ok!
You can try solving pressure and temp cases separately and then combine the results. This may give some information about effect of temperature conditions.
If possible calculate stresses by hand calculations, using some simplifications and compare with ANSYS results.
Whether the boundary condition is concentrated and stress singularity is happening due to concentrated boundary condition. Refine the mesh and see whether the results diverge or converge...
Whether it is possible to split the geometry and hexamesh it completely? Highorder solid 92,tetrahedral element currently used also a better element.
