question RE: exploded views

question RE: exploded views

question RE: exploded views

(OP)
OK once again I have come upon a stumbling block, and I was doing soo well too.

my question is regarding general info in seperate exploding steps for exploded views. so I have figured out how to create a "NEW" exploded step... click on the part to explode then a face for the direction , then click accept.... bur I have have yet figure out how to move the part. the part; once exploded goes in a general outward position perpendicular to the face you chose but what if I want to move the part up or down since my assembly has a ton of parts to it some pieces overlap each other. also I am trying to add explode lines is there an easy way to edit the lines?

thanks in advance for the help

RE: question RE: exploded views

That's why they are called "explode steps"... one direction equals one step.  If you want a part/assy exploded in a different direction, you need another "explode step".

As for editing explode lines, I have found it much easier to just delete the existing lines and reinsert them.  This may not work for you, but I found it easier.
