Is there a way to show the pull down under data validation?

Is there a way to show the pull down under data validation?

Is there a way to show the pull down under data validation?

(OP)
I am using a data validation "list" and would like to set the pull down to be always shown.  Currently it only shows up if you have the cell active.  I would prefer not to use the forms/column box so the information can be copy and pasted later.

Any Ideas?

sorry, the pull-down will only be shown when cell is selected.

brainstorming thought...

perhaps you can create a small bitmap and embed into cell and set to background.  you will need to be certain that the actual pull-down for data validation is available.  sort of creating a false representation, but just a thought.

god luck!

Good Idea, I'll have to try it out, The only thing I can see happening is the image not zooming with the same ratio of the actual data validation pulldown.

place cell highlighter in cell with data validation and press the print screen button.  paste image into photo editor and then copy the portion needed and paste in excel.  when moving objects in excel, press the alt key and the object will snap to or size to the actual cell size.

good luck!
