Automatic Transmission Fluid Flow Analysis

Hello to All;
I would like to know if anyone has experience in transmission fluid flow analysis. I haven't messed with fluid flow analysis since my college days and am unsure as to what my approach should be or which formulas should be applied in order to initiate the anlysis. I am particularly interested in what formulas/approaches should be used in determining the fluid flow rate through orrifices , bushings, and bearings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of my work was experimental in nature, peppered with some localised analysis. The regular equations in fluids text books sufficed; flow in pipes, through orifices, pumps, vanes, and other turbo machinery. I later came across simulatiuon packages that had the whole system input so that transients could be modelled completely. The SAE had some good articles. try their web site: http://www.sae.orgseek |
