Following are some sites that give very good tutorials and technical tips on selection anduse of oscilloscopes.

1.   The site

gives basic overview and examples . It gives you a touch & feel also.

2. The Tektronix site gives a detailed tutorial 'virtual book' on Oscilloscopes, which is pretty good.
